I am a jazz singer and I have decided it's time for me to start recording on my own.
I am going to buy a Fireface UCX soon and I have a 2017 MacBook (not pro).
The issue is the MacBook has only 1 USB-C port which is used for charging and USB 3.1 connections. So if I plug the Fireface into the mac directly I will have no way to charge the mac. So I figured I should connect both mac and Fireface into some docking station or hub of some sorts. But there are so many models... assuming I am willing to invest up to 400 $ in the docking station because I do want to get a good setup, what should I look for? What are good brands to check out?
