I need a P4 Motherboard with onboard Firewire with a Texas Instruments Chipset.

My last MOBO was such a piece of junk, have had problems with it for years. This time, I want to find out what a good brand/model of MOBO is, one that will last at least 5 years or more if possible.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Thank you

You can't just buy a quality add on firewire card with a TI chipset?

Might be easier...

I agree with amra. That will give you more choice of good mobos. Personally I like the Asus ones. They've always been good for me.

An actual Pentium4 board?

Find one of the old Intel XBX or XBX2's. I'm pretty sure they supported the last gen P4s.

Pentium 4"s came in at least 3 Different Socket styles (428,478,775) and in several Buss speeds so it would help if you told us the Model and Buss speed of your CPU so we can try to recomend a good Board for your CPU....

Cheers
