Logic Pro X Audio region Questions

Hi all, I have a technical question regarding audio regions overview in Logic Pro X;
What do the numbers on the Y axis represent? Basically ranging from 100 to -100 for both channels of the track. I don't understand what they represent graphically. I've attached a screenshot in the comments so you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance!

It's "Amplitude Percentage" - which may not be a big help! In the editor view, you can toggle the Y axis labels between Percentage and "Amplitude Sample Value" if you want, and the Sample value is a number that ranges to 32,767 (plus or minus), so perhaps is measure of the bit depth utilization, if you want to look at it that way. At least, that's how I look at it - could be wrong!
