After 30 years of recording real instruments, I'm finally diving into the world of MIDI. Here's my gear:
TD12 V-Drums with DIN MIDI
ROLAND UMC-ONE DIN MIDI to USB adapter
Samplitude Pro X4 Suite DAW
MT Power DrumKit 2 - Drum Plugin
How do I map the drum triggers on my V-Drums to the correct voices in the Drum plugin? kick to kick, snare to snare, etc.
In the attached photo, you can see the MT PowerKit plugin has a settings page which shows mapping, but it shows up as C, C#, D, D3, etc. In otherwords, mapped to a keyboard, eventhough I have my V-Drums selected as the MIDI input device.
For the most part everything works, kick to kick snare to snare etc, but I'm having some issues with the HH mapping (open and closed)
I eventually want to purchase Superior Drummer 3, but I don't want to drop the cash until I know how to map the triggers correctly.
I know you may not be able to speak directly to Samplitude, but maybe you can point me in the right direction?
I appreciate any insights.
