How do you convert digital video file to VHS?

Most cards do not have TV outs. Get a convertor like Blue Balls suggested or an ATI card.

ATI video cards are known for having the best TV output in a consumer video card. You can get one for less than $100 usually.

We're thinking along the same lines. I've got the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon, which has video inputs as well as outputs, and the first thing I want to try is transfering some porn VHS tapes to video CDR. Just have not got arround to it yet.
 
or if you got firewire - put the video back on you digital camera, and then go from the camera to your vcr.

lol. Say R, have you had any issues when installing? The manual says a bunch of stuff about AGP drivers and having to disable my current video card. Now I'm kind of chicken shit about uninstalling my current video card. It's one thing if your audio gets screwed up, but if I screw up the video, then I won't be able to even see what I'm doing to correct it ! :)

In case you don't know, there is a page to guide you through you're troubles. It also has leaked drivers and fixes that don't normally show up right away. The forum on the page is also pretty good. It is however, very biased towards ATi. Just another source to check out if you haven't found it already.
