Question Help Requested: Recording Stereo w/ SB Live!

    Greetings:

Take it easy on me, I've had a rough night. I am glad to have found this board, however.

    Here's my setup:

    Line 6 POD 2.0 & Boss DR-670 > Samson MDR6 > SB Live! > Audacity

This is what I have to record my guitar and drum/bass tracks with. I ran everything stereo into my mixer (MDR6), and have the L/R mix out to a Y-adaptor (two 1/4" females to 1/8" male) to the Line In on my SB Live card, which I thought was stereo. However, I get nothing but L channel

Can someone point me in the right diredction? My budget is tight and this is all I have to work with.

    Thanks,

    Dan

how many black rings do you see on the 1/8 inch connection? If you only see one, you need to go back to the shack and get the stereo version.

I actually got the adaptor from a commercial music store. It's a Hosa YMP-233 but it says on the sticker "Y Cable Stereo 3.5mm (M) to Two Stereo 1/4" (F).

Edit -- there are two black rings on it.

Edit Edit -- Is this what I should be looking at? Mono to Stereo?

Thats the problem .... you have a stereo splitter ... 1/8" stereo male to two 1/4" stereo female.
What you need is a Hosa YPM 137

-Edit- Ummm I mean "YMP" 137
