Expecting a lot from a hard drive

What recommendations could y'all give for a hard drive that fits these criteria:
  • SATA
  • quiet
  • cheap
  • quality/durable
I've found some 80 gigabyte 7200rpm models online for about $100-110. Ideally, I wouldn't mind getting ahold of a couple 40 gigabyte drives for about the same cash outlay. Does anyone make a 40 gigabyte SATA drive?

My current drives are pretty noisy, so I wan't to give 'em the pink slip!

I like to run two drives; one for OS and programs, the other for data. Even with way too much extra crap stored on my data drive, I still have room aplenty and it's only a 30 gigabyte drive. My OS drive has less than 20 gigabytes used. I don't really see an immediate need for two 80 gigabyte drives.
