Computer Doesn't Always Recognize MidiSport

I've got a MidiSport 4x4 connected to my PC via USB. Most of the time (9 out of ten times) when my PC powers up it doesn't recognize the MidiSport so I have to unplug the USB cable at the PC end and plug it back it, then everything is fine.

I've tried re-installing the MididSport drivers, no joy. I tried using the USB ports on the back of the machine instead of the front, no help.

Any ideas?
