Best Sample CD for EXS24 with General Midi Drums?

Can someone please recommend to me a sample CD which will work for the Emagic EXS24 sampler with General Midi Drums? I'm looking for excellent sounding acoustic or electronic General Midi Drums samples which will either be in native EXS24 format, or can easily be imported. That way, I can use my General Midi Drums sequences but use the high quality audio samples for the actual sounds. Please recommend a great sample CD for me to buy which will work for this purpose. The online stores I'm looking at include: http://www.soundsonline.com

Yeah tell me as well.
I just got the upgrade to Logic Audio Platinum 5.0 and I am looking to try out this EXS24 before the 12 week expiration date is up. I am looking for some good drum sounds and some good loops as well. I am into rock n roll but I am trying to keep my mind open when it comes to this sampler thingy.

Thanks,

Mike

Battery is a drum sample player from Native Instruments.

They also recently released a CD of a bunch of acoustic drum kits: Battery - Studio Drums; however, I don't have this CD yet.

Pehaps the EXS24 will do everything you need, but Battery is pretty good for drums. I haven't used the EXS24 but it should load soundfonts. There are some pretty good free drum soundfonts out there.

Well, I know that Battery is a great drum sampler annd sample playback program, but I don't want to use it. I really want to continnue to use the native EXS24 which perfectly intergrates into Logic Platinum (I'm using Mac version 4.8.1). I love the EXS24, and the smooth way it integrates into the program without draining CPU resources. I just really want to buy some excellent drum samples which will be laid out in General Midi drum format.

The Soundfont idea you mentioned is appealing - could you please give me a link to the drum Soundfonts which you recommend (I'm not looking for free ones - just very high quality samples which I can buy).

Thank you!

There are a lot of places to get soundfonts on the internet. I mainly use other formats so I don't know the best places off hand. Someone else may be able to help you on this one......However, I'm not certain that the EXS will play soundfonts, though of course it should do this. If it does , a simple search for drum soundfonts should yield some good kits..

As far as buying something, there are a lot of options....I haven't checked out much of what is out there...I'll probably end up getting the Studio Drums CD from Native Instruments because the Kits that came with Battery sounded pretty good...Do you know if the EXS will play Battery kits or LM4 kits?

By the way, I make pop, folk, and world music. The main thing is i want samples which are either native in the EXS24 format, or will easily and accurately import into the EXS24. I am running a Mac G4 with Logic Audio Platinum. Does anyone have any real world experience with the EXS24 and any of the following sample libraries?
