Ableton 9/Windows 10/Intel/ASIO4ALL/Focusrite/iConnectivity CRASH

Dear HomeRecording Users,

I have extremely frustrating problem. While setting up configuration on new laptop, Ableton crashes (goes off) anytime i'm choosing ASIO4ALL. Sometimes, when i connect one of 2 interfaces and then the second one, anything is fine beside the high CPU usage/latency. Is there any alternative for connecting both interfaces on Windows 10? I have never experienced similiar issues on my older laptop with Windows 7, with the same gear FOcusrite + iConnectivity. The use of second interface (iConnectivity) it's a must for processing signal in iPad. If there's anyone who have struggled with the same issue, or someone who have any idea how to set it up, let me know please.

Specs:

Ableton 9 the latest version on Windows 10
Intel Core i7-8750H (Intel HM370)
Sound Blaster™ Cinema 3
Focusrite 6i6 (1 generation)
iConnectivity MIDI2+
ASIO4ALL (the latest ver.)

DOn't tell me MAC is the only solution hhm

Thank You for taking the time to help me out!

MERRY CHRISTMAS / HAPPY HOLIDAYS nd HAPPY NEW YEAR!

OK, as a rule, you should use ASIO drivers. And while you can have two on your system, you cannot use two in Windows. Now, I am a Windows user, have been since 1.0 (that is a lie, 1.0 was useless, but 3.1. Point here I am not an Apple fan boy), but I seem to have read you could have two devices on Apple systems.

Not for sure why you would need two, but install the ASIO for your Focusrite, select ASIO in Ableton and your Focusrite should show up. Depending on your unit, (I don't know Focusrite), you can either set your latency in Ableton (my Tascam I can't) or you set it in the interface software and Ableton will pick up the new settings.

Also turn off latency compensation, on my interface, it makes it worse. Your MIDI will either come through your interface if you have a DIN or if USB, will be handled through your MIDI mapping device.

Hope this helps. Oh, ASIOFORALL is a last resort software. Get your drivers, you will be very happy with your unit when you do.

hi DM60, after testing out different configurations switching between Focusrite /iCM comes out the iConnectivity is bothering Ableton under ASIO4ALL. the moment i connect iCM in open project the CPU usage jumps to 25% or sometimes Ableton goes off. The reason for using ASIO4ALL is that it let's me add another in/out for/from an iPad. The problem is with iConnectivity, maybe wrong configuration, will test it out. I will check Your advices asap and let You know... thank You for taking the time to help me out!
