Where to post

I am "newbie" to this site and forum, but not to home recording....my hobby for 40 years. I am in need of a vu meter bulb for my Sony C-270 Reel to Reel Tape Recorder. Where should I post my request. Thanks in advance.

You know...if it were me I would post in the" analogue only" forum....probably your best bet...after that the free classified section would be good under "Want to buy"

If you know what part # or at least the style and things you can try partsexpress or Mouser. I found lamps for my Otari decks with no trouble. Good luck.

Look for the thread on Otari bulb replacement. If you don't know a part number from a schematic you should be able to find a suitable replacement from an electronics part dealer, I'd expect it would be reasonably standard. If it is not soldered in place, and depending on where you live, you may be able to take one to an electronics parts store, if one exists in your city. You may be able to determine at least the voltage requirement with a multimeter.
