this is my first post. Great looking site. I look forward to spending some time browsing.
The analog forum seemed a good place to start for me.
I've been an active weekend hobbiest for about 20 years now, mostly bar gigs, but have spent a ot of time tinkering with recording in my bedroom. Started out on a Fostex x-15 cassette. Several years ago I got an old Sony 4 trk reel to reel. The sound fidelity of that thing blew me away. It's been sitting in the closet awhile, and I'm looking to get back to recording demos and writing again.
I figure it may need some servicing. The model is a TC-854-4.
Can anyone recomend a source to buy a copy, or original, of the owners manual?
Have any info about these? How does it stand up to some of the more popular models I see discussed here?
This may be a bad word here, but I'm thinking of going digital sometime. But I would like to take my analog with me. Perhaps another thread would be more appropriate. But I would beinterested to know if any of you are combining the best of both worlds?
