Trying to record from my computer to cassette on a Tascam Porta02 4 track recorder

I recently bought a Tascam Porta02 4 track to record some music onto tape with. I have an RCA to 3.5mm jack, that i plugged the RCA cables into the Line Out plugs on the back of the 4 track and plugged the 3.5mm into the headphone jack of my computer. I hit record on the 4 track with a brand new tape inside and pressed play on the song i wanted to record, after the song finished, i stopped it, rewound, and then plugged the 3.5mm into the microphone jack on my computer, then hit record in Audacity and play on the 4 track. Nothing. All I get is static. This was the method i used before to record things onto tape on a cassette deck i own so I assumed it would work the same on the Porta02. Is there anything I could do, or that I am doing wrong? Thanks.

here are some images of the front and back of the 4 track

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do, but this ^^^ seems to be wrong. Shouldn't you try the Line Ins?

No, but there are two 1/4 plugs for Line In. You need either two RCA to 1/4 adaptors or a 3.5mm to 1/4 stereo cable.
