I have in my possession a beautiful but non-working CX-310. Both belts have turned to an oily goo, but the replacements are available and I'm going to go ahead and fix it to turn it in to my temporary mastering machine. I'm hoping as I acquire more old equipment I can start doing these regularly and include the analog forum in aiding me, and in return I will post hi-def pictures of every step/process, which should in itself create a very useful visual manual of how to perform the repair for future owners. If I can, Ill even do videos of it.
So while I wait on the belts to show up, I'm going to disassemble the transport for a full cleaning, and log all parts.
