TEAC A-7010 Erase Head

I have a TEAC A-7010 and everything works fine except the erase head! It just will not erase the previous recordings on the tape, when it's recording on a previous recorded tape it just mixes the recordings together and if I use a blank tape the recording is perfect and has good quality....
Has anyone had a similar problem or would share there thoughts on where the problem my lay!

Erase heads rarely go bad -especially both tracks at once.I would suspect a relay or whatever switches the bias to the erase head.
