Hi! I have got a problem with my Teac 144 tascam series... I can't record on the track 1, but untill yesterday, it works perfectly :confused:
please help me!!!
 
Yes! All the systems work well, except the recording on 1# track. And if i stroke or shake the case, the track 1 works again...
But if i change track, after that, the 1# dosen't works :confused: again...
 
Sounds like something loose. Check the multi pin that is at the end of the pb/rec head chain of wires. It goes into the first circuit board you'll find. Clean it with contact cleaner. I'll look up the number tonight and repost. Check for cold solders on this board as well. Also REALLY CLEAN ALL THE POTS AND SWITCHES. Use a good control cleaner, NOT contact cleaner. De-Oxit is good but expensive. When you say "the case" what do you mean?

OK I got the numbers. Check multi pin #J108, J109, J111A, J111B for now. Let us know how you made out.
