Studer A807 Recording at 15ips

Hi

I have been doing recordings on my A807 at 7.5ips all this while. Now I tried recording at 15ips, but it is not recording at all. I have set to "Record Ready", pressed the "input" and "line on" buttons but the VU meters do not show of any input signal present. Does this machine need to the calibrated for recording at different speeds individually. Please advice.

Strange. I can't see why that would happen. The recorder does need to be calibrated for each speed, yes, but that shouldn't stop it passing audio in input monitor mode (which mine doesn't seem to have anyway). I'm not aware of a way to calibrate the input levels anyway.
What version is the system software, and which speeds is the machine configured for? Does it pass audio if you switch it to the third speed? (3.75 or 30ips depending on the setup).
