Just scored a (NEAR MINT) Sony TC-730 Auto Reverse 4-Track Stereo Tape Recorder that actually works. Needed one of these for it's 1½ ips capability for some of my old reels. (part of my collection)

    Very cool...congrats!

My brother and I have vast memories of playing around with my Dad's TC-630 growing up...playing with the SOS echo, making our own "radio shows"...mix tapes...and not realizing we were documenting some much valued times and circumstances.

My favorite aspect of your 730 is the NORMAL/SPECIAL tape select. Maybe that would help some of my songs to sound...special. Hahah.

    Nice looking machine!

Really nice, I'm a fan of those old SONY open reel recorders. They just defy the odds and keep going with minimum after purchase maintenance.
