New to Reel To Reel. *** I really like my Pioneer RT 701 ***

I've wanted a reel to reel since the 70,s. This Pioneer sounds great. Works excellent, need to learn to maintenance on this reel to reel. I just got a Teac E-1 Demagnetizer, head cleaner, Deoxit D5, Silicone dressing. trying to find a video on how to do the maintenance on it. I got a belt that needs to be put on.

My Toy




Damn near New Old Stock. Guy I bought it from recorded 3 reels of tape with a songwriting partner, then went on the road for 2 year with a band. He packed it up and when he got back, his partner had moved on to Pro tools. I replaced a gummy pinch roller, and its like new!

I caught a bug about 35 days ago I haven't had in 30 years and it's been a lot of fun but very daunting. I am having a hard time remembering the studio I worked at in Hollywood.

That is hilarious...I didn't see the pig. Its a notice on the entryway out to the pony shed that was there when we moved in. Don't know why it is still there. I likewise don't know why I would bring it down.
