Shopping for tape.

Since EMTEC is no longer producing tape and Quantegy has been kind enough to raise it's prices on 499.

I was wondering where you guys are getting new tape from. The best price I have seen for a reel of 499 1" is $69.93... I have seen it as high as $80.

Me too!!

Wow, that price seems cheap to me. For 1"? I paid about that for 1/2" the last time I bought some. Of course it was at a retail music store. I was lazy. (I need it NOW syndrome)
I'd love to own a 1" or 2" machine, but tape is going to become a supply and demand
victim eventually. At least to my way of thinking. Time to stock up, huh!
SHEEEEEZE, what ya gotta go through for analog preference. Can't imagine what 2" owners are going to be up against.

Well, I there are still an awful lot of 2" machines still out there. I would imagine 2" is a bigger seller then others thoug 1/2" is proably up there too.

I just read Jake's thread about "used once" tape... sounds interesting.
