I heave a sigh of relief. 
I breathe an even bigger sigh of relief !!!
I finally get my foot in the analog door in Aug of last year buying an Otari 1" 8trk
and after getting the machine serviced and getting it shipped sometime in
Dec the big Quantegy shutdown/scare
Believe me when I say I was soooooo bummed out at the prospect of owning
a 200 lb paperweight .. sooo disgusted and saddened .
I did buy 13 rolls of 1 pass tape while waiting with baited breath to see what
the outcome might be-- and whether or not ATR was truly going to come thru with their own tape formulation .
It appears that we are in good shape, again
