Been working on getting this portastudio to function for quite some time with little luck.
When I first opened it up, saw that gear c was destroyed. After replacing that, noticed that none of the transport control buttons were responsive. No flashing or any indication that anything was pressed.
I was able to get the tape transport to work and rw/ff/play a tape in cleaning mode, however, I have not had any luck when turning it on normally.
Not sure if this is a logic issue or what but haven't seen anyone posting these same symptoms.
Have considered replacing the belts as a precautionary measure but am not sure that is my issue.
Will update post with pictures and video later on today.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Took everything apart for pictures and the capstan belt was loose enough to the point that it wouldn't go back on. Note to self not to assume something is in working order based on appearance alone.
Will post updates as they come.
