Mix-down effects

Finally made some progress with my Tascam 488.
I know very little about effects for mix-down.
Is it possible to use my digitech guitar processor as a mix-down effect unit.
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
If noty, are there in-expensive effect units available. Its just for my home use of myself , so I don't want to get too carried away.

yeah its possible i used my vamp for a while untill i could afford a dedicated fx unit. jut use it like you would a rack processor, that is connect a send the in of the guitar fx and from the output of the fx into the return on the mixer.

hope this helps

Yeah that does help and its worth a try.
What would I do...choose a really clean channel fro the fx processor.?
It may even say this in the manual. I'll check tonight.
The unit has a ton of presets and most of them are too strong.
But you can program your own settings.
I'm pretty sure you can start off completely clean and then go with whatever level of fx you want.
What would you recomend I try?
Like start clean and maybe just a little reverb to try it out?
Then maybe go from there?
Thanks for the reply.

to start pick the effect you want if you want a reverb then select a reverb from the pedal and just play around with it untill you get a sound that you are happy with. If there is any amp modelling on the FX pedal then bypass them unless you want the sound obviously.

In the end its up to you and what you think sounds good

Glad to help
