I had been there a few times and was amazed at the "grocery" store approach to electronics.

You could got nuts with some much product, and amazingly all those stores did well!

WOW That was about the same time I was in Hong Kong looked pretty much the same.

There was this very strange thing there that I hadn't seen yet in the US it was called Karaoke. :rolleyes:

Boom boxes!
I miss those. great for cheap radio or handy scetch recorders.
Great for construction site, camping, band practice, anywhere.
Then the ipod showed up and they stopped making them.
They wernt that great a value when new,
but for a few years after their heyday you could always just pick them up at will at garage sales or thrift stores for $5.
they are hard to find anymore.
 
Actually, I knew her, too- and found her to be rather empty...
