Hey Billy

Herm

Well-known member
I got the Tape today and when I opened it it was full of water.

Just kidding:D Everything looks and sounds great. I was just wondering which tracks I can use for the tubs.

Gotta taunt the curse huh Herm??

Read that note I put with it.
(The idea I suppose is that once you know the arrangement, then record over the midi drum track AND the 4th track which is empty, so that way Reel can use the drums as his click and record over track 2 (Which is your click), then Ghost will get it with Drums, Bass, two tracks of scratch rythem guitar, scratch vocals and my lead line on 8)

So the answer is 1 and 4... Just DON'T track over 8!!

(I know I know!.. The drums were supposed to be on 7 & 8 Ghost, but I was under the influnce of a curse and I forgot!)

Have fun Herm & thanks.
:)

Duh! I guess i could have looked in the package before I sent you a messege.

I just hope that by the time the tape gets to me, I will find the tape soaked in Acapulco Gold!

Then again, there's that little deal of the boarder and customs so, never mind.:(

Cheers! :)

Ok guys, I'm gonna do a simple mid tempo (G C G- DCG- F) country blues tune today, but I have no lyrics really.
The theme is kind of school oriented, like one verse passage I might use is:

-G- You send me baby.
-G- You send right on back to...
-G- school.

-C- I've gone class clown crazy...
-C- Like a helpless school boy..
-C- fool.

(-G- I believe I've..)

-D- learned my lesson lovin' you,
-C- but I got more studying to...
-G- do.
-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F

SO, I'm leaving it up to YOU GUYS to come up with some blues metaphors... Four verses worth! LOL

(I especially need one verse about math that I can end (From the D ) in "I love you one time baby, but you break my heart in two!")

Let's Hear'em!
:)

Hmmmm...

"Oh, count me in, yeah,
I've got some maths to...
...do.

The whole is more than
just the sum of me and...
...you.

I love you one time baby,
but you break my heart in two!"

Let me put my slide-rule into you now, Baby
Let put my love on your line
You're killing me, babe, with those fresh curves, Momma
You're the square root to my heart every time.

Word to your calculator, Holmes.

You fuckers are crazy! (I KNEW I could count on you!)

I'm gonna go with variations of what you guys have come up with (A variation from Regbro):

-G-"I can count on you girl, when I got some division to

-G- do.

-C- Oh, I can count you girl, when I got some division to

-G- do.

-D- 'Cus I love you one time baby,

-C- and you break my heart in

-G- two.

-F-F-F-F-F-F-F
It's not adding up!"

INTO:
(Ghost inspired variation on the Break Down Stabs):

-G !!!- I got the angles,
-G !!!- You've got curves.
-G !!!- a text book cen-ter-fold...

G TURN AROUND: of the purpose geometry serves.. a passing grade in..
-C- love..., -C-Baby -C- baby -C- baby -C- baby I'll tell you
-G- what....

-G!- You -G!- won't
-D- Need no slide rule honey
-C- To see I measure
-G- up.

-F- F- F- F- F- F-F-
(You'll need a yard stick-WoW!!!)

SOLO!

REPEAT FULL BREAK DOWN

TAGLINE WITH "You won't need no slide rule baby to see I measure up.... No no no no no no you won't need slide baby ...

CUT!
"To see I measure.......

FINALE: Up~ (Drums go crazy)

END -G!!!-

Thanks Guys
:)

Not that it matters, but slide rules are used for calculating, not measuring. :)

Very cool otherwise. I like wordplay!

Now its 12 long
but I dont use it as a Rule!
Iv got more than
most of those boz in school

I got around to kind of putting that blues jam together.
(I need to actually sing it instead of saying it like I don't mean it you know?, then add my two lead guitars (Solo) and my Hammond organ part, so it's no where near done...
(It has the WORST drum machine fills ending! LOL)

*You can hear a take of it with too loud vocals at Nowhere Radio

Here's the lyrics I went with:
(Thanks for ideas guys)

You send me baby,
You send me right on back to school...
I gone booksmart crazy,
like a helpless schoolboy fool.

Well I learned my lesson in lovin' girl
but I'd like to do some studying with you.

Can I count you babe
when I got some division to do?
Oh yeah can I count you babe
when I got some division to do?

'Cus you always love me just one time girl
oh but you break my heart in two!

I've got the angles,
if you've got the curves,
a textbook centerfold honey
of the purpose geometry serves
in afterschool love...

Baby, baby, baby,
it's the golden rule...
I see you measure up girl,
with that figure you certainly do!

:)

I have a new mix of the "Schoolhouse Blues" jam up at the link..

http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists...id=3603&alid=-1

I STILL need to re-track the vocals (They are like a dead fish!), but I threw down this gay assed solo that is worth a laugh! LOL

Something happened to my outro drums!!!

It's getting there, but it seems like everything is after the same mids or somethings... I can't tell if I snuck the organ part in there..
Electric guitar in the intro is a mess!!!

Oh well
:)

Billy I think you need to check your link to the song there.

Also I shipped the tape to dave today, but I kinda messsed up and shipped it media rate and it wont get there for 6 to 7 days.
Also I got most of what you wanted on the drums but not everything. I kept it pretty simple. But the bigging is there that you wanted. Other than that I kinda sucked on the whole thing but maybe some of the other boy,s can save it.

Herm,
To me you saw it through, got it done and in the mail,
that means it rocks and you rock so don't sweat it.
(I'm not...simple is good)

I'm gonna have the next song headed your way soon, so no time for worrying.

The next song is at the link... If I can get it linked!!!

LOL

:)

Edit: Is THIS link right??

Edit II: (Son of Edit OR Edit's Revenge)
WTF!?? I listened with headphones and it sounds like a phaser across the whole mix!

Ok cool thanks Herm.

Eventually (After I add a few more songs) this will be the next tune for you to play on (I need to completly redo the vocal) AND to mixdown.
Got any bass players around the house??

:)
