Hi everyone, first let me say that I am glad I found this forum as I am starting to plan out a very small home analog studio setup to record a solo mandolin project.


I have an old Concertone 62 tube R2R (needs a full service job to get working), and planning on getting a Tascam 414 or 424 to start with.

My plan is to record four tracks (two rhythm track, one melody and one lead track) all being mandolin and do my first EP on cassette (it's cheap!)

Looking forward to learning as much as possible about doing all this myself.

Thanks for stopping by. I also put out an album on cassette myself, it certainly is more affordable than vinyl, isn't it? I've got a friend who's crazy about mandolin too, I'll be sure to send him a link to your album when it's done :)
