Anyone know what kind of tape machines Are You Experienced was recorded on?

As far as I know, it was done on a 8 track, one inch machine. Probably an Ampex, or an MCI but, I am not sure.

Dark Side of the Moon was done an a 16 track, two inch machine.

Maybe visit Electric Lady Land studios and see if they have any documentation on their web site or try some of the Jimmi Hendrix fan sites for details from fans.

Well after doing some research on those scully decks there were a few pople who thought thats what most of the album was done on. So I thought I'd see if anyone hear had any leads.

I was WAY BORED lastnight so I was looking for hours and only came up with a few useless things.

1. One site mentions that it was done on 4 track.

2. There was a Sotherbys auction of an invoice doucument signed by Hendrix for 80 grand worth of Amphex gear for Electric Ladyland studios.

(I was gonna pass along a link to that Recordist site for you, then saw in your other post that you were already aware of it.)
