Analog help

Hi folks,
I have a Sony 755A 1/4 machine that is in good order and i like the sounds i
get from it.

I am about to start on a new project and I am considering weather to use analog tape along with my DAW set up.I have thought about recording some tracks on to tape like acoustic guitar than loading into digital world than add vocal and other instruments.
My music is acoustic blues/folk so not many tracks only snare with brushes & kick drum,Acoustic/reso guitars,Bass acoustic & electric, mandolin, harmonica and vocals etc.

If any one that has done similar and can help with some ideas like what instruments would be better on tape. And when should i use my noise control software in AA1.5 or don't use it etc.
I have been experimenting as one does but any help from those more experienced would be welcome.
Cheers Luke.

Instead of recording on tape and bouncing to digital, you could just use the deck to master your final mix. Some big studios do this to give their mixes a 'warmer' feel. You might like the results.
