ampex 600

Hey guys,
An ampex 600 1/4 inch tape machine recently fell into my lap and I'm looking for some info on it. It came with two matching powered reference speakers (Ampex 620s I assume.) So, what do you know about it. I did some research and it seems most people are using the tape recorder for the preamps.

First of all I never had 600 never near my lap, so know nothing...
but it looks like a killer SYSTEM to me... and so congrats and good luck with it.
