Hi guys,
I am finishing restoration of my new Studer A80VU 24 track. When it will be finished I will send you pictures just for pleasure and I will describe whole process.
BUT:
I really need calibration tape. I know that I should buy it from MRL tapes but I ordered 1/2" tape for my 8-track 2 months ago and because of COVID it is still in San Francisco. Its complicated, I understand.. But I do not want to wait next months for 2".
I know a guy in my country with calibration tape but he do not want to rent it and I understand it, but he doesnt have tape machine.
a) Is there some person in EU who has VERY WELL calibrated (for speed too) 2" machine and record me 1000Hz (3 min), 10kHz (3 min), 50Hz (3 min), 100Hz (3 min), 10kHz (2 min) and 16kHz (2 min) signal, 15 ips, IEC1 / CCIR, 255nW/m or 320nW/m or whatever well known. I know that this is not really the best solution but I want to record band next month!
b) If someone has similar calibration tape and want to sell it - send me PM, please!
