gecko zzed Grumpy Mod Mar 9, 2020 #3 Garageband is pretty handy, but there are better, more versatile, DAWs around. If you intend to pursue recording further it's worth considering stepping up to a more advanced DAW.

As far as I can tell it only works at a sample rate of 44.1, which is a deal breaker for me. Well, that and I don't use Apple products unless there's absolutely no other option (like at my day job).
