Just a head's up in case you missed it - Amplitube 4 is being released later in October, and there's a $50 off (normally $149 - $50 = $99) preorder deal right now. I just added it to my sweetwater card with 24 months no interest, plus their free tech support.

Hmmm...is it really worth the upgrade from version 3 though? Without firing it up, it's hard to tell how much different it is - with the exception of a few things that are obvious. Wonder if IK will make the 5 new models available in the custom shop for Amp3 users that don't want to pony up for the upgrade...
Intel i5 3.1ghz, Win7 Home Premium 64 bit, 16gb RAM, focusrite saffire pro40, Cubase 7.5, lazy pit bull (gets it from her mother).

They're obviously leaving a la carte details out of the initial deployment, as they want people to pony up the money. They list the upgraded components. It's pretty extensive, include new modeling of a lot of amps/pedals. The improvement with the virtual room is much needed, the old mic placement technique with Amplitube 3 is kinda meh. It's so meh I hardly ever use it anymore and get the field of sound and attitude I want post production.
