Hi, I'm a little new to this forum, so I hope my question isn't too elementary. I have an Oakland, CA based home studio using Logic Pro 8. My interface is a Presonus Firepod and I have 3 Presonus pre-amps (TubePre and a Bluetube).
I have a Symetrix SG-200 signal gate. Here's my question(s):
1. I don't know how to insert this in the signal-flow with the Firepod. How do I route the cables?
2. Are the noise gates in Logic better (for kick/snare) than this Symetrix? When I look on eBay, the gate looks like a $20-30 unit...Should I just dump it?
