On my patchbay, the normal lines are brought out to the rear punch block but, I only have tip and ring. Does this mean that the sleeves are shorted internally or not shorted at all?
In other words, if I were to eliminate the punch block and hard-wire the normals at the jacks, should I connect the grounds? (...between 1 & 25 for example?)
BTW, this is a 1/4" long frame.
