I posted this on the Presonus forum but i'm not having much luck.
"Back in September - October I had my Presonus FP10 serviced (costing me around $85) because it would not connect to my Windows 7 computer. I got the FP10 back and it worked... Until now. A week ago i turned my FP10 on, after having used it the day before, and the light turned blue, then red. And it stayed red. If you have an FP10 or have used one you would know that the light must turn blue to display its connection. My FP10 will not connect to my computer for anything. I have tried connecting it to my laptop and it still does not connect. Is this a faulty FireWire port? Also, I would like to keep my money this time."
