whats the best for the money.

i have an alesis 3630 compressor, bbe maximizer, alesis midiverb, art eq, and im running it all with an avatar cab and a peavey 6505 head.

when i play it it sounds amazing, but when i dont it has a horribly loud hum i definately need to get rid of...

You likely have a grounding issue somewhere. To determine this for sure, there should be a ground/lift switch on the back of your amp (I know the 5150s had them). If you flip it from ground to lift and the hum disappears, then you have a grounding issue. Flip it back to ground, determine where the problem is originating, and fix it. It will probably be cheaper and easier to fix the grounding issue.
