Marantz CDR 300 or CDR 420

Not exactly a rack item, but does anyones have any experience with these? The 420 is brand new and I'm not sure it's in the stores yet. Want something for superconvenient CD quality recording of me singing and playing guitar. I've read some user reviews and most people seem to like the 300, but one guy said the preamps were noisy, which concerns me. I have some nice preamps, but the whole point would be to have a convenient, portable way to record........

They are great CD recorders and I've sold a ton with eveyone loves them. Even though I'm a dealer for them I'd buy the Alesis Masterlink for a few more $ and a lot more flexablity.
