How do I generate a +4 db signal?

Hello everyone, I don't know this the place, but here comes a technical question: as I have installed a new opto cell in a compressor, it will need recalibration. So I'll need a 'correct' +4 db signal to set my 0VU. Any ideas how I could create such a signal? I don't have an oscilloscope, I only have a computer & some preamps/compressors...
Many thanks!

ideally a sine wave oscillator/generator would be the most useful tool.
or you could use an electronic keyboard with a steady note held.

if you measure 1.23volts AC ( 600 ohm load ) on the output
you will get +4db.

Your computer should be able to generate a test tone. Check your soundcard manual to see what level 0dBFS is. +19dBu might be typical, but you need to check. Using that example, generate a 1kHz sine wave at -15dBFS.

If your soundcard is calibrated in dBV, just use -10dBV = -8dBu to convert.
