how can you tell if your equipment is +4/-10?

i have an ART DMPA and an RNC. i'm not sure if they match up.

how can i find out? it doesn't say in the manuals.

and while i'm at it...what does the u and v after the dB mean?

Also try rereading your manual - ART DMPA, p.14: Meter calibration - 0 VU = +4dBu.

Actually no - it's roughly in-between -10dBV and +4dBu, it's 0dBu.........
