any preamp suggestions for around £500/ $900

Hello,

at the moment i use the preamps on an allen and heath mixwizrd 16:2 console. I recently used a neve 1073 dual preamp for the first time and realised how much fatter a decent preamp can make things sound. I know the neve 1073 is way out of my price range, but do you have any preamp suggestions for around £500/ $900 that will be a significant improvement from you average mixing console, and that will get me closer to that fat warm neve sound.

p.s. im looking hopefully for two channels

Both the Chameleon Labs 7602 and Golden Age Projects PRE73 have been getting rave reviews all over the net as Neve type preamps.

I've just ordered a PRE73 (£219 + £15 p&p or buy 2x PRE73 and get free rackmount tray) to go with my Focusrite ISA One from here :-
