Hi, new to the forum, new to MIDI, new to the Samson Graphite 49. I would like to map the pads to another port. I have contacted the place where I bought it, Samsontech support and a few Internet fora, but no luck so far. I am using the Graphite 49 with LMMS, but I assume this is an issue for the editor software. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any user manual for the editor software.
I play saxophone, and would like to create a background atmosphere, with some loops and other prerecorded things that get triggered when I tap the correct pad, while I am recording myself playing the saxophone. The default behavior of the Graphite 49 appears to be to play specific keyboard tones on the same port as the piano keys.
LMMS is able to automatically detect the use of sliders, knobs and more so, it just becomes an issue of assigning the correct action to the correct port or channel.
Does anyone have an idea how to do this?
