MIDI and DRUM MACHINES!

Ok. I have a Roland MC-303 Groovebox. It has a built in sequencer and that allows me to program drum beats.

My question is this:
Can I, using MIDI and cakewalk, program a drum track that is in time with the metrenome on Cakewalk. So, if I need to concentrate on a guitar part, and don't want to hear the drums, I can record the guitar with the drums muted, and listen only to the cakewalk metrnome. Right? Can that be done?

You can set the metronome to any MIDI note in Cakewalk, so it can sound like a drum or triangle or whatever. The metronome can get reset to a different tempo in a moment, so you wouldn't want to redo your entire drum track, would you? Anyway, I think you can do what you want...if not, try the Cakewalk forum!
