I'm unclear as to what a Midi Studio consists of..

Yes, I want to built a home recording studio with my computer and a keyboard. So I would like to know what I will need to create one.
I want to get the Korg Triton, besides the computer and the keyboard, what else will I need to create a fully functional professional quality recording studio? I don't think I'll need a microphone at the moment because I don't even know how to sing, I just want to create beats for now.

Make sure you have a way to get more than one port of MIDI into and out of the computer. A simple way to do this is with a 2 x 2 USB MIDI adapter. Each port only has 16 channels
and only one of these is defined for drums.
There are ways around this drum definition limitation, but it makes your .mid files non-compliant to the standard. Aside from that- get a good MIDI SW package like CW. And a MIDI synth module that has some decent effects as well as cool sounds and a very quiet noise floor is a must. A digital audio out from the synth is mighty convenient
if the converters are clean and you have a soundcard that can use it.
