HI Guys,
I read much about MIDI yesterday bacause I wanted to know what actually MIDI is capable of.
Basically I understand MIDI in theory but in practical use it is not quite the same.
My Gear:
- Doepfer LMK4+ (Masterkeyboard connected in my case over MIDI in and MIDI out, not USB, no internal sounds)
- DAW Software Logic 9 or Cubase 6
- Mac OS X 10.6.8
- Soundcard: M-Audio Fast Track Pro over USB
Here is an Example of what I wanted to do:
If I understood the infos right it is possible to change patches by pressing buttons on the LMK4+ (source device) to change the sounds coming out of the destination device.
The 1. Question
Is possible to change patches of VST/AU Instruments this way for example: Sonic Synth (IK Multimedia), FM7 (Native Instruments)?
The 2. Question
Does anybody has experience with Doepfer LMK Products because I not sure if understand the explanation in the manual correct?
Thanks for your help,
greets J.
