Hesitation

I've got a problem that a search didn't answer. When I'm running a MIDI file, the sound will hesitate in places, kind of skip. It's a pretty powerful computer, and everything in the Task Manager is turned off. Any suggestions?

Do you have a network interface card in the computer? Any USB peripherals?

That could be the ace cards...
Try to disconect the USB and see...
if still problem ocurs, remove the LAN card. Using both at the same time causing MIDI problem often. I found the problem's reduced when I jump from Win 98 to Win XP. At least in my case...
