Alesis V25 problems. Velocity Not working like my Axiom 61.

I have an old (first Gen) Axiom 25. Works fine. Hit the keys hard/soft/med, all works well.

I got an Alesis V25 (one octave). Seems the velocity doesn't work well. barely hear it until I use a Kung Fu Death finger strike then its WAY TOO LOUD.

I would love to get the thing to work like the Axiom.

I open up NI Kontakt, and the Alesis shows up in the device list like the Axiom, but Its set to OFF, and doesn't want to turn on. Axiom is set to PORT A.

Update : Got past the OFF/PORT A problem. Seems it was some sort of glitch in Kontakt. If I shut all of them to off then closed it and turned it back on, then I could turn any of them to ON, and it would stick.

Still have the velocity /sensitivity problem.
