is there a simple USB to MIDI IN adaptor??? or is it a much different system??
I have a MIDI in on my interface and I would rather use it than go all the way to the computer with USB..
The adaptor is intended to convert USB out from a keyboard to DIN, so that you could, for example, connect it to a MIDI sound module or another keyboard via DIN to DIN cables.
If the keyboard has just USB and no DIN outputs, then the easiest way it get that going is simply to connect to computer via USB. It will show up as a midi device in your preferences. When you enable it, you can happily record MIDI. It doesn't interfere with , and happily runs alongside, your audio device.
