pleaes explain the x y micing technique to me, and if you got a pic where you used it thatd be great. the tone soudns good when i dot it. i jsut dont know if im getting as much stereo seperation as i should be, or if im doing it jsut right or what.

so please explain where your mics sit above your drums.

basic questions: (all from looking at the drummer, as if you were at a show)

-how high?
-how far apart?
-where is the right and left mics capsules pointing too?
-which part of the kit is each mic over?
-do you use a mic stand x-y bar or two boom stands?
-how far back?

thanks alot, hopefully ill get better.
