Whats With The "B Grade Mics"?

Over here in the uk there's a company selling ADK Hamburg mics "b grade" at quite a saving, they have quite a number of them. Are these faulty mics that have been repaired or is it a way of selling a product cheaper using b grade as an excuse. Would you take the risk and go with one?

i would use them as props for stage antics. if they dont sound that bad then I'd sing with them or something and then throw the mic down at the end of the show and walk off stage like I'm something special

Normally, the term "B stock" is used to describe gear that is fully operational, but may have dents and scratches (usu. stuff that others bought and returned). Many times, there is no warranty with B-stock stuff, but you should check with that dealer. I'm not a gear pimp so I can't say what's the deal with the dealer that you looked at.
