Is there a big difference between the current KM184s and the older 84s? I'm trying to decide whether to buy a new 184 or jump on a vintage 84 in good condition.
 
If it was me I would go for the new one....but that's just me.
How much is the vintage microphone? a new one is about $800.
And if you look in the free ads here at HR.com there is a pair for $1000. ;)

Yup they are still there! I'm surprised that no one has scooped them up yet.
All that I can tell you is that if they are there come this weekend I'm gonna grab them.

A lot of us can't swing the grand... Though if I weren't saving as much as possible to pay off and subsequently sell my car, they'd be gone by now - those are a damn steal at 1000 bucks :(
